Hi, welcome to Little Feet Travelers!
Glad you found us. 😀
I grew up loving to travel and thought that would need to stop when we decided to expand our family and have kids. However, that was a mindset I refused to accept. Life is short and the idea of pausing our trips (or limiting them severely to traditionally “kid friendly” destinations) for the foreseeable future did not sit right with us. Therefore, we decided to take the risk and travel with our children. Of course, we did go to “kid friendly” destinations too.
When I first started looking into traveling with kids, I found many pages and blogs of families that travel. But as I learned more about them, I learned that these are families that travel for a living.
So what makes us different?
Before starting this page, we thought a lot about what we had that we could offer people and we realized that what we can offer is our perspective and experiences. We’re a regular family who just happens to believe that traveling and exploring doesn’t have to be put on pause just because we decided to have kids.
My husband and I work and take vacations when we can. We are not a “professional traveling family” and that is the point of view that we want to share with you. We’re going to share our experiences and thoughts as we continue to explore the world (and our backyard) with our children (who are 5 and 1, respectively). We will post our itineraries, our experiences (the good and the bad), and tips and/or tricks that we’ve learned along the way to make it easier and more pleasurable to travel with our kiddos.
We’re hoping that our experiences help empower and enable you in exploring your world with your littles – as there are many experiences I never would’ve considered and/or experienced if it had not been for the fact that I was traveling with the kids.
XoXo
